GENERAL OVERVIEW OF CONSTRUCTION OF FILE CABINET CASE: The front upright is a seven-fold piece of steel. The rear upright is a steel Omega channel. This drawing shows the additional MIG welding of the uprights to the welded, closed, box base, creating an incredibly strong joint when combined with the previous drawing: This results in a "box" with standard and added-steel MIG welded joints in all four corners to prevent racking and increase the overall strength of the cabinet. The base view shows the two-piece steel upper and lower section of the box base, with overlapping steel, and the internal front to back double Omega channel, which holds the glide receiver. The Omega channels are welded to each other as well as to the interior of the closed base. |
