S i t u a t i o n:

There is a need to increase the legal filing capacity at a work station. The station is equipped with a 36" wide, 3 drawer cabinet (12" drawers), providing 99" of legal side-to- side filing. A 4 drawer file is excluded for aesthetic reasons.

S o l u t i o n:

A 34-1/2" wide x 23-3/4" deep x 3 drawer cabinet equipped with a 4-1/2" drawer and 3 10-1/2" drawers, which allow for front-to-back legal filing in two rows.

B e n e f i t s:

Increased legal filing capacity from 99" to 132", without increasing the height of the file. (A 33% increase in capacity).
An extra box-type drawer, which may eliminate the need for one under the work surface.
Space saving. (34-1/2" vs 36")
Smooth integration with 24" deep work surfaces. Excellent for use in system configurations.

C o r o l l a r y:

The same principle applies to 2 drawer files. The two 12" drawers are replaced by 1 3" drawer and 2 10-1/2" drawers, increasing capacity from 66" to 88" of legal filing. This filing cabinet slides underneath a work surface, or can be used to as a support for the work surface. (Doxasteel can manufacture the cabinet to a height of 26-7/8" or 27-7/8".)
